Interesting idea! However the bananas sometimes spawn outside the map making the game incompletable! I had to try a few times to get all the bananas inside the map. The limitation of only moving in four directions makes it quite challenging and I died more than a couple times. I'd like to see more monkeys spawning every couple of bananas collected as it'd make the game so much more challenging and tense. Apart from a couple bugs, great work, I really enjoyed playing it!
